My real name is Natsuki Kikuya. Born in Chiba, Japan in July 1982.
"Pimienta," meaning 'pepper' in Spanish,
is my middle name i named myself in university.
born food-craze,
I was a kind of girl always fantasizing what I will eat if the world ends today.
my mother came from a Sake brewery family in Akita,
and father from a Buddhist temple in Toyama,
therefore Sake bottles and Buddhist chants were around me when I grew up.
When I was 16, I went to abroad by myself for the first time,
to participate a volunteer camp to plant trees in a little town Phayao, in Thailand,
and met the most wonderful shining stars in the sky and in children's eyes.
since then, I have been walking across the borders of over 20 countries
by shooting documentary film at university in the US,
staying at self-sufficient commune in Scotland,
crossing Boston to NYC on foot for a month,
and following the footsteps of Mayan civilization in Mexico.
After spending 2 years and half working at the Business and HR consulting firm
called Link& Motivation Inc. in Tokyo,
from 2009, I jumped into Sake world, to trace the path of my grandfather.
I spent 6 months working and learning at one of the most famous Sake stores in Tokyo,
and move to UK to work at Zuma restaurant in Knightsbridge London
as a Sake sommelier for 18 months,
then became a group head Sake sommelier at its sister restaurant
named Roka in Charlotte Street and Canary Wharf.
Also, I was lucky to be chosen as "Sake Communicator Award 2011"
by Sake Samurai and International Wine Challenge.
Currently I am setting up my new business named "Museum of Sake" in London
to introduce, teach and promote Sake to more audiences in Europe.

my mission is to the spreading the beauty of Sake, the only alchemy that human being has succeeded,
and to make foodist in the world fall in love with it.
